Brian Brunet of Cool Mountain Construction

Meet Brian Brunet

Cool Mountain Construction

Brian Brunet brings a builder’s precision and a project manager’s perspective to Cool Mountain Construction. His extensive background spans residential construction, finish carpentry, and the construction and renovation of upscale homes and country clubs; experience that informs his approach to quality, coordination, and the details that make a home exceptional.

His career began in modular home construction in Wisconsin, followed by six years in residential framing and finish carpentry in Seattle. In Florida, he progressed from framing to superintendent and then project manager for a large commercial contractor, expanding his expertise from hands-on craftsmanship to comprehensive project oversight.

Thirty years ago, Brian earned his general contractor’s license and, together with his wife, Jenny, chose Fairview, North Carolina, as the place to raise their three sons and establish lasting roots. Today, that connection to family and community shapes their work at Cool Mountain Construction: creating thoughtfully built homes with personal attention, clear communication, and a commitment to lasting quality.

For Brian and Jenny, the relationships built along the way are just as meaningful as the finished home. By working closely with clients and fostering trust throughout each project, they create connections that often grow into lasting friendships. It is one of the most rewarding parts of their work; staying connected long after the final details are complete.

Robbie Brackett, Project Manager at Cool Mountain Construction

Meet Robbie Brackett

Project Manager · Cool Mountain Construction

Robbie Brackett has spent more than 35 years in the construction industry, starting as a laborer at 18 years old and working his way from the field into project management.

His first opportunity to move into management came while working as a framer with Jarco Development, where he worked his way up to Assistant Project Manager. He later joined Carroll Investment Properties (CIP) as an Assistant Project Manager and advanced to Project Manager within two years. During his time with CIP, Robbie worked on commercial construction projects, expanding his experience beyond residential construction.

Robbie continued building his experience in both residential and commercial construction and project management before joining Cool Mountain Construction, where he has now spent approximately 13 years managing projects from the ground up.

Having worked his way through the trades before becoming a Project Manager, Robbie brings a hands-on understanding of what it takes to build a home and manage a commercial project. His experience includes coordinating subcontractors, managing schedules and inspections, solving problems in the field, and overseeing the countless details required to move a project from the early stages through completion.

Just as important to Robbie are the relationships built along the way. Many of the homeowners and clients he has worked with over the years have remained friends and stayed in touch long after their projects were completed. He believes a successful project isn’t measured only by the finished building, but also by the trust and relationship established with the people behind it.

With more than three decades in construction, Robbie’s approach to project management remains grounded in the same place he started—the jobsite—and in treating every project and client with the personal attention they deserve.
